Terms of use

These terms explain what you can expect from Rust Server Score when you use the site.

What the site is. Rust Server Score grades every public Rust server using live data. We read server details from Steam's public Rust server list and straight from the servers themselves, and refresh every five minutes.

The data is offered as it is. We work to keep grades and figures right, but a server can publish a late wipe time or a false name, and a player count can lag behind. Treat every page as a snapshot of the moment, not a promise. When the numbers do not yet support a verdict, the page says so.

Using the site. You can browse, compare and read every grade without an account and without paying. Please keep requests at a normal pace; rapid automated fetching slows the site for other players. If you need the full dataset, email hello@rustserverscore.org and we will work something out.

Bots and AI tools. Search engines and AI crawlers are welcome. Read robots.txt and llms.txt first, and keep your fetch rate sensible so that people visiting still get fast pages. The server list is at /rust-server-list-scores.

Server owners. Your server appears because it is on the public list. Everything on its page, including the name, tags, wipe times, slots and the grades drawn from them, comes from what the server publishes. To change what we show, change it on the server; most edits reach us within five minutes. If you want to reach a person, use /contact-us.

Independence. Rust Server Score is not connected to Facepunch Studios. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios.

Changes to these terms. We can update these terms without notice. The date at the foot of this page shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after that date, you accept the updated terms.

Questions

Can I use Rust Server Score without paying or signing up?

Yes. Every grade, page and ranking is open to browse without an account or payment. The only thing we ask is that you keep automated requests at a sensible rate so the site stays quick for other players.

Why might a grade not match what I see in game?

Grades come from what each server publishes, read every five minutes from Steam's public list and from the server itself. A server can report a wipe late, use a misleading name, or show a player count that lags behind. If a grade looks wrong, the underlying data is usually the reason.

How does my server get onto Rust Server Score, and how do I change its entry?

Servers appear because they are on the public Rust server list, and their pages are built from what they publish. To change a name, tag, wipe time or slot count, change it on the server; most edits reach us within five minutes. We do not edit server-supplied details by hand.
