Primitive removes guns, so fights come down to bows, spears and melee. This page lists every public server running the Primitive game mode. Each one gets a grade from its live player count, uptime and wipe record. A few are busy; most are quiet, and the report will tell you which is which.

Grades average five subjects out of 100: population over the last 48 hours, standing, uptime, wipes and momentum, on the scale at the foot of the page. Each server's page adds performance and carries the full report.
The scene is small: 29 servers are running the Primitive mode right now. Most sit empty or near it, so a single busy server can hold most of the players. Check the population trend before you commit, not just the number at this moment. The wipe column shows when each server last reset, and the next wipe countdown is an estimate where marked. Group limits stick to the default, so a solo or trio cap is worth noting. Gather rates are often unstated, which usually means 1x. When a server has too little history for a fair grade, the report says so rather than guessing.
Questions
What is a primitive Rust server?
A primitive Rust server runs Facepunch's Primitive game mode, which removes firearms. Combat is limited to bows, spears and melee weapons. The mode can be run on official, community or modded servers, but the lack of guns is what defines it.
How are primitive Rust servers graded?
Each server gets a grade based on real numbers: live player count, how steady the population is over the week, uptime and how often it wipes on schedule. The grade is a quick verdict, not a review. Where the data is too thin to judge, the report says so.
Do primitive Rust servers have guns?
No. The Primitive mode removes guns entirely, so you will not find firearms on a server that runs it. If a server claims to be primitive but has guns, it is not running the actual mode. The report only lists servers that run the mode.
Why do primitive Rust servers have low player counts?
Primitive is a niche mode, so player numbers are small compared to vanilla. Many servers run empty for long periods. The grade takes this into account, so a low population does not automatically mean a poor score if the server keeps a steady regular crowd.
Sort by grade rather than player count on a list this size. A server that is full this evening may be empty by the weekend, and the grade reflects the whole week. You can re-sort by last wipe, name or region, and the search box will match a name or tag. If you want to widen the search, the full server list has filters for region, group limit and wipe schedule.
